About

Hello, I am Xinni Chen. Some also know me as Cyrene /saɪ’ɹiːni/.
This portfolio is a manifesto of my design career. I use playful design to invite learning and reflection.
Over the past three years, my work has moved through multiple worlds: from building Audi China's digital branding ecosystem from scratch, to XACADEMY, where I design experiences that help students explore purpose, love, loss, and mortality.
Today, I continue in two parallel projects.
With PivotU, I'm transforming education into life design. Through playful experience design, I help young people explore the fundamental questions that shape their path: their values, purpose, and how they want to show up in the world.
In MedHum research, I focus on how patients construct and reconstruct their personal narratives when facing illness, and how storytelling, supported by AI, can help them rebuild self-awareness and reclaim their lives.
